27 Inch Speckle Trout
29 inch Red Fish (released)
Sheepshead
Mornings Catch

St. Andrews East Bay is a prime area for fishing. Specs and Reds are the main attraction here with Sheepshead, Flounder, Lady Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Blue fish and Sharks can be caught. Spring and Fall time are my favorite time of year. Large fish will crash top water plugs for an exciting time.

Many fishing hot spots are just a stones through away. From fishing the dock at night to fishing the nearby cove just 300 yards away.

Black Snaper (laying down are Gag and Red Grouper) 15 LB Gag Grouper 50 LB Wahoo Large Barracuda

The Gulf is about 35-45 minute boat ride from the house. Fishing is a smorgasbord of species. Grouper, Snapper, King Mackerel, Amber Jack Wahoo, Barracuda, Cobia, Dolphin, Billfish, Tuna and Tarpon are just a few of the targeted species. Whether you like to sit back and troll, or bottom fish archored or drift, or just spot fishing you will catch fish.

Many newcomers will ask how far do I need to go out. I have caught Gag Grouper in the pass as well as giant Red Fish up to 43 inches. In the spring large Cobia are on the prowl. One to five miles out will put you in great Sapper teritory. Five to ten will get into AJs Wahoo, Tuna, Grouper Snapper, and Dolphin. Time of year will effect when it's best but you never know when or where you might catch that monster.

There are many artificial reefs planted by the govenment and private enterprises with both GPS and Loran cordinates. All of these wrecks harbor fish. Over time you will find the many natural limestone (live bottom) bottoms which no other fisherman knows. Watch out when you do, you'll be filling up your freezer with fish.
